Best Shoe Tips

Shopping for shoes could take time especially if you have a unique contour in your feet. Though there are different sizes, still it doesn’t accommodate every length and width of the shoppers. We want our shoes to last long and comfortable in our feet. Here are some tips for common shoe problems

1.       Too Tight Straps
If you caught yourself struggling to tie the straps of your new shoes then a spritz of plain water is all you need. Though shoes naturally stretch as they get worn, you can induce it by gently applying a small amount of water. Presto, problem solved.

2.       Prevent cuts at the back of your heel
It is really painful when our shoes cut the skin in the back of our heels. Oftentimes we think that this is due to a snug fit but actually it is the opposite that is true. Overly spacious shoes let the feet move and shift position inside causing cuts in the skin.

3.       Blisters
Blisters are caused by friction between your feet’s sole and the shoe especially if you are walking for a long time. In order to prevent blisters, a moleskin foam can be inserted first before you wear your shoe. This will absorb friction in your feet.

4.       Scuffed Leather
A tiny scuff can make our new shoes look old so Kimberly Ade, stylist at Keri Blair Image Experts in Denver, polishing our shoes more often. We should at least polish it once every month since a polish leather is less likely to form scratches which can lead to scuffing.

5.       The best time to buy shoes
To avoid tightness of your new shoes, we suggest that you buy your shoes during the end of the day were your feet is swollen and tired. This will ensure that your shoe would still have a good fit even after a long day’s work.

Remove those Stress in an Instant!

A tiring day at work would  really be noticeable our face especially if you will still have a Friday night out. Those eye bugs and lines in the face really don’t look good and would give others the impression that you don’t enjoy your work. Check out some tips makeup tips to quickly erase the look in your face.

   Step 1
Always apply a concealer before a foundation. This is applicable to all face shapes and color. Choosing a concealer with a cream shade and a yellow undertone is the best type that you can apply on your face. The concealer will hide those eye bags underneath your eyes.

 Step 2
Your eyes and the skin around it is delicate and therefore it is not good to rub it when applying the concealer. To apply the concealer around your eye, use your ring finger. The ring finger is the weakest and has the gentlest touch. Gently press the concealer.

 Step 3
Use a dusting powder that matches your skin tone when applying the concealer. Apply it using a light hand with powder. Too much applying would make you look like a cake.

 Step 4
If the concealer settles in the lines of your face during the middle of the day, just gently push and smoothing it with your ring finger to avoid scattering and creating an uneven look. The warmth of your hand will melt the concealer back in your skin. Smile and stay gorgeous throughout the day.

BEING HAPPY AT WORK

In today’s commercial industry and economics, women stand head-to-head with men in terms of responsibilities and benefits (sometimes, greater). It is not uncommon to see workaholic women and sometimes “burnout” (stressed) from a day’s work. Here are some tips to make your workplace a “not so boring and stressful” place.

1.       Finish the complicated tasks first
Often times we are faced with a number of tasks and cramming in the final hour to get them all done. In a research done by Carol Kryder, PhD, she said that prioritizing task is an important step to reduce boredom in the job. Do the dreaded task first, then save the best for last.

2.       Make friends
This is the most obvious step to have a great day at work but sometimes this is the hardest thing to do. Respect and trust between you and your co-workers is an important. Why not you offer someone you don’t know outside the office a drink or a good lunch?

3.       Be a mentor
Imparting your knowledge to newbies in the office helps not only in improving team performance but also gives you a feeling that you are being “looked up on” or respected. It will give you a feeling of satisfaction especially if you have been in the job for a long time and you can share your knowledge to newcomers.

4.       Take a break
This is the fastest way to cut off boredom feelings in your workplace. If you feel that you are already working for hours on a task and you see that it is going nowhere, then try taking a coffee break and you will see the difference after.

5.       Praise yourself
Positive affirmations to yourself enhances your motivation to strive harder with your goals. Affirmation of self also shows that you are still happy with the job.
