Women's Health: Common health concerns for women

There are about five diseases that are more common in women and have still proven to exist up to this day. These issues are depression, autoimmune diseases, breast cancer, heart diseases and osteoporosis.

The best way to make sure that women can steer clear of such diseases is prevention. Prevention can begin with simply communicating well with your doctor and being able to distinguish your history of ailments and which of those could possibly affect you. Saralyn Mark, M.D. promotes a method wherein women take care of themselves by being more aware.

The more aware you are of your body, the more you are able to take charge and take control. This is your body, you are responsible for taking care of it well into your years of age. You have to be educated or at least somewhat educated when it comes to diseases and symptoms, you have to know your history and you have to listen to your body and know your body.

Everyone is built different, so it is imperative that you get to know how your body responds to certain stimuli and things. You have to be aware of which things could benefit you and which could do the opposite. One of the leading killers in both men and women is heart disease.

The prevention of such a disease, or at least being able to monitor and regulate it with proper medication, diet, and exercise will keep you from being consumed by it all together. Know which measure to take, and take care of yourself as well as you can!
